The SUSTAINABLE FOOD CULTURES workshop

Call for Applications 

Food cultures still receive too little consideration in terms of making our food systems sustainable. Different places, times and groups have an impact on what we eat, why, where, when, with whom and how, how food is grown, processed, prepared, consumed, reused, if and how we enjoy food, what we like and prefer, which traditions and patterns we perpetuate and what we can and want to change. 

The SUSTAINABLE FOOD CULTURES workshop connects alumni of German institutions of higher education and/or research from diverse disciplines and countries in recognizing past achievements (e.g. cooking utensils, meal structures, life skills) to explore foodways that serve a future-proof tomorrow (e.g. in terms of food security, food literacy, justice, just transition).
